Robert Williams - Owner/Designer/All-Around Webguy
A native of Lake Tahoe, Califonia, whose father had an affinity for technology, Robert was exposed to computers and how they worked from the dinosaur days of personal computing. That naturally led to an interest in the Internet from the earliest days of dial-up and AOL. Robert began designing, maintaining and programming websites in 1994 while working for the family business - creating an e-commerce site that took the company from regional appeal to world-wide availability. A move to Lexington in 1997 due to an interest in breeding and racing led to the beginning of WIDS, a natural melding of Robert's two areas of interest: web-based services and the Thoroughbred industry. Robert officially began WIDS in 1999, soon acquiring clients like Shadwell Farm and Pin Oak Stud. WIDS moved to its current offices in early 2004.
Gregg Casillo - Programmer
Gregg began his career in IT in 1996 with Ernst & Young by providing desktop
support in their Cincinnati office. He moved to Lexington in 1998 and
graduated from the University of Kentucky. While earning his degree, Gregg
did web and database programming and built a streaming media system for
Kentucky Educational Television. In 2006, he returned home to the Greater
Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area. Gregg has performed ColdFusion and
Perl programming and SQL database management for WIDS since June of 2006.
Jill Williams - Writer/Researcher
From a Shetland pony at age four to Thoroughbred mares and foals today, Jill has always been horse crazy. After graduating from Arizona State University, she realized she could combine her flair for writing with her passion for Thoroughbreds. She soon realized a dream by moving to Lexington and writing for industry leader The Blood-Horse. Jill has been an integral part of WIDS since its inception.

The Equipment
A good Internet design firm must host their sites somewhere, and one of the things that makes WIDS such a complete solution is that we own/manage/maintain our own servers. Using high-end HP servers running MS Windows and Coldfusion MX, with a separate Microsoft SQL database server, gives us the flexibility and robust development environment to make our programming efficient. Using redundant systems and separate edit and live site environments, we are able to maintain extremely high up-time numbers.
Our servers are colocated in a secured cabinet at Iglou Internet Services in Louisville, Kentucky, which gives us small-town customer service, 24 hours-a-day access, and a level of up-time and bandwidth rivaling that of the world's largest hosts.
